Artist FAQ

Common questions about rights, labels, Listen, Artist profiles and releases.

Updated Sep 26, 2026

Do I keep my rights?

Yes. You retain ownership of your masters and compositions. Rythora is granted a non-exclusive licence to distribute on your behalf. For detail on transferable and sublicensable rights, see Ownership and sublicensing.

How do artists get paid?

See Royalties and payments for how streams are reported, what percentage you keep on Rythora-owned services, and how Airwallex payouts work.

Can I use another distributor or leave Rythora?

See Using other distributors and leaving Rythora.

Can I distribute as a label with multiple artists?

Yes. Label accounts can add artists under Artists in the Workstation and submit releases for each one.

What is Rythora Artist?

Artist (artist.rythora.com) is for claimed artist and team accounts. You do not "sign up for Artist from scratch." You claim a Rythora Artist profile connected to your catalog or identity. See *Claim your Rythora Artist profile*.

What is Rythora Listen?

Listen (listen.rythora.com) is Rythora's streaming app. Fans can discover and stream your music for free. Releases you distribute are delivered to Listen automatically.

Can I release AI-generated music?

Yes, with a disclosure. See the *AI-Generated Music* section for the rules.

Do I need my own UPC and ISRC codes?

No. If you leave them blank, Rythora assigns codes at delivery. If you already have codes, enter them and we will use yours.

Can I schedule a release date?

Yes. Set a release date (and optional pricing / territories) in the upload wizard. We deliver ahead of the date and stores publish on that day in each territory.

Can I take a release down?

Yes. Open the release and request a takedown; removal typically completes within 1-2 weeks across stores, subject to DSP processing. See Using other distributors and leaving Rythora.

How do I contact support?

Use the Contact support page in this Help Center. Include your release title or UPC for fastest help.
