Live DJ guide
Apply for DJ access, use DJ Studio, crates, sets, and live shows when broadcast is enabled.
Updated Oct 11, 2026
Who this is for
Live DJs on Rythora Create mix, prepare crates, record sets, and (when enabled) broadcast to listeners on Rythora Listen. DJ is a separate Create surface role from Podcast host and Playlist curator.
How you get access
- Public apply at
/apply/djwhendj_onboarding_enabledis on (no account required), then create your Create account with the same email, or - Staff invite / grant from Admin Creator Access
Activation of the dj role does not by itself mean:
- a verification badge
- permission to go live
- recording export
- payout eligibility
Those require additional flags, rights grants, and policy.
Create DJ map
| Surface | Path |
|---|---|
| Overview | /create/dj |
| DJ Studio | /create/dj/studio |
| Crates | /create/dj/crates |
| Recorded sets | /create/dj/sets |
| Live shows | /create/dj/shows |
| Apply | /apply/dj |
Podcast Studio remains at /create/studio — do not use it for DJ performance.
Step by step
- Apply or accept invite; wait until Overview shows an Active DJ role.
- Upload your DJ logo on Overview.
- Build Crates from eligible tracks (grant-scoped).
- Open DJ Studio when the studio flag is on.
- Use Live Shows only when broadcast + LiveKit are configured.
- Listeners discover live mixes on Listen (Live DJ Mixes,
/dj, live join URLs).
Rights and royalties
- Eligible tracks come from
track_use_grantsscopes (private / live / record / replay / export as configured). - Cue, loop, and practice loads are not Listen master royalty
stream_events. - Live and replay earnings stay pending until commercial allocation rules are published.
